Materials Flow Systems
Procurement, production and distribution
On the one hand, the sharply rising market dynamics make logistics a pivotal competitive factor. On the other hand, these dynamics lead to serious shifts in the materials flow organisation, for example:
| – | |
Small batch sizes |
| – | |
Variety in the product and production variations |
| – | |
Variable capacity utilisation and pass quantities. |
These altered general conditions have considerable repercussions on the internal flow of material. In concrete terms: Future-capable concepts must technically and commercially coordinate the automation of sequences and the flexibility of the system structure.
On this basis the FAB develops its logistic systems, which, depending on customer requirement, combine all internal materials flow functions – from storing, positioning, handling, commissioning, supplying to loading.
