According to present-day experience, highly automated logistic is not automatically good. This is why the FAB strategy works on the assumption of the constancy or variability of the planned logistical sequences.

In concrete terms: The more constant the process, the greater the degree of automation and vice versa.

The advantage, particularly with regard to strongly differing batch sizes and increasing variety of product variations, is unequivocal: Cost consuming over-engineering is avoided.

The FAB software programme encompasses all IT and control-technical modules for inventory management, system as well as materials flow control and paperless commissioning.

At the same time, the FAB modules are equally well-suited for production and distribution storage, distribution centres or for the transport-technical linkage of production.
